Our Love's Bouquet

Stood there, watching, as you walked away.
Shivers shot down my weakening spine.
And at that moment the last petal did decay.

You shrug, there's nothing left to say,
Now with air my fingers intertwine.
Stood there, watching, as you walked away.

You make me promise I'll be okay,
My lips quivering in a straight line.
And at that moment the last petal did decay.

Color bled from the final rose, now gray.
Petals surrounded me like a shrine.
Stood there, watching, as you walked away.

Like a branch in the wind on a stormy day,
Swaying as I mumbled that I'd be fine.
And at that moment the last petal did decay.

The final petal from our love's bouquet.
Head down towards those feet of mine.
Stood there, watching, as you walked away.
And at that moment the last petal did decay.
